Needs and Leads
Wayne Myer purchased a 1955 MG TF 1500 project car - everything intact (sat in a barn for the past 22 years), except engine. He is attempting to track down the original engine. (The original car number is #9727; the original engine #XPEG 3506.) If that cannot be found, he would very much like to put a 1466cc engine back in, even if not the original. Any leads with regard to an engine would be greatly appreciated. You may contact: Wayne R Myer National Accounts Manager Interstate Restoration Group, Inc. Office: 908-638-4088 Cell: 908-500-7649
From Mike Kemp on 10/3/2006: My brother passed away recently in Northeastern Washington. When I went over to check things out I found he still had his TF. He bought it out of college about 1959 or 60. The family didn't realize he had it after all these years. It is a basket case, partially disassembled, complete chassis on wire wheels, with sheet metal intact from cowl back. I believe the engine is there also. Front fenders, windshield, bonnet, and seat are there but off the car. I have not been able to find a title to the car so far. The car has been stored in his garage for many years. I would like to dispose of the car fairly quickly and still have it end up with someone who would appreciate it and use it. Contact: Mike Kemp, 360-289-0192, Kemp1855@aol.com
From David Hardy (1/14/2008) Have a TF 1500 "California Special." It has been restored and I want to sell it. I am not familiar with anything concerning these cars and I am at a loss as to where I can get an appraisal or post it for sale.I am hoping I can get some advice. Do you know if there is such a model named "California Special"? Thank you David Hardy Yreka California | ||||||||
